Man Killed in Shooting
HOUSTON, TEXAS: A man was fatally shot Friday evening outside a bar in west Houston, according to police.
The shooting occurred in the 1900 block of South Kirkwood Road in the Briar Forest area. Houston police said the victim was standing outside the bar when he was approached by two or three suspects. An interaction took place between the group before at least one suspect opened fire.
The man was struck by gunfire and pronounced dead at the scene. The suspects fled the area in a burgundy-colored sedan.
Investigators have not yet determined whether the shooting stemmed from a fight, a robbery, or another type of confrontation. No suspect descriptions have been released, and authorities have not confirmed how many shots were fired.
The Houston Police Department continues to investigate the incident. Anyone with information is urged to contact HPD or Crime Stoppers as the investigation remains ongoing.
